Benefits Of His Presence

TOPIC: BENEFITS OF HIS PRESENCE
Read Exodus 33:12-23
Memorize: The Lord replied, "My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest" (Exodus 33:14).
God's presence gives us unique identity as His people. Nothing on earth can be compared to His presence. Moses had pleaded that God would go with him to pilot the people, so that they can enjoy His glory. It is disastrous to go without God's presence in life's journey. Elimelech lost all, when he left for Moab without God's presence and guidance (Ruth 1:1-5). When His presence was withdrawn from King Saul, distressing spirit came upon him (1 Sam. 18:10). When Jonah fled from the presence of God, he landed in the belly of a fish (Jonah 1:17).
The presence of God will give you the following: rest from danger (Matt. 28:20); deliverance from evil (Dan. 3:25); victory over the storms of life (Mark 4:35-41); fullness of joy (Psalm 16:11); and God's favour (Exo. 33:17).
However, He expects you to meet some conditions to enjoy the benefits of His refreshing presence. You must become His friend (John 15:15); cultivate the attitude of praise and worship (Psalm 100:4; 22:3); create an enabling environment through holy living (Heb. 12:14; Hab. 1:13); and regularly engage in prevailing biblical prayers with right motives (Acts 4:29-32).
Going out or embarking on any project without God's presence? Failure and defeat become inevitable (Deut. 14:39-45). Don't try it.
Prayer Points:
1. Let Your presence not depart from me, oh Lord.
2. Tell God to create in us the heart to sacrificially serve Him everywhere.
3. Ask the Lord to help the government and the administration of the higher institutions to embrace dialogue as they decide the destinies of the youth.
