The Power Of Constant Communion
TOPIC: THE POWER OF CONSTANT COMMUNION
READ JOSHUA 1:1-8
MEMORISE: When the Lord your God brings you into the land you are entering to possess and drives out before you many nations ... Make no treaty with them, and show them no mercy. (Deuteronomy 7:1,2)
Message
Communion with God is a floor of friendship that keeps a man intimate with Him; a point where your root gets deep down for spiritual stability. It is where lifestyle, character trait and communication style of Christ is understood and imbibed. More often than not, we prefer to do things in our own ways than let God lead. Our curiosity to act has put us in-charge in place of God. It's like God is far, so inactive unlike in the days of old. It's because many options are in endless list to God that we can no longer remember when last He was with us. We sometimes would have gone too far before realizing 'without Him, we can do but NOTHING' (John 15:5). Distancing oneself from God compels one to see and make sense out of the forbidden fruit, and loiter around it. When last were you intimately refreshed, renewed, reassured or rebuked by His Word/His presence?
Samson thought of doing as of old but didn't notice that God had long forsaken him since he forsook communion with and obedience to God. He was exposed to the enemies' torture. Only your return to the place of communion can restore you to your rightful place in Christ.
You need to activate your will to build this intimacy today, because lots of necessities and environmental distractions demand your attention (cf. Dan 6:10-11). Fellowship with God is real, personal, sweet, available, and possible, BUT must be DESIRED. Start today.
PRAYER POINTS:
1. Lord, let the passion for deep intimacy with You consume me wholly.
2. I command every member of my family who is yet to know the Lord Jesus Christ to see and come to Him right now, in Jesus' name.
3. Let there be solution (way out) for every confused child of God now, in Jesus' name.

Kindness is an adjective
Kindness is a sentence
Kindness can be a way of life
Be more than nice;
Be kind.
Every opportunity to be alive,
Is another opportunity to be kind;
So, be kind
Even be kind-er
Today, thanks for breathing
Show that appreciation,
By being kind-er
Therefore be kind-est
It's not easy
Especially to be kind to the 'mean'
But, be kind all the same...
