Awake! O Sleeper

TOPIC: AWAKE! O SLEEPER

READ MATTHEW 25:1-7

MEMORISE: So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be alert and self-controlled. (1 Thessalonians 5:6)

Message
He who has no vision of eternity has no hold on time. The Scripture confirms that the world is field. Yet many believers live as if they own this world and have no regrets peradventure they miss their place in heaven.
Westcott once said, "The mark of a saint is not perfection, but consecration. A saint is not a man without faults, but a man who has given himself without reserve to God." Consider the story of the ten virgins who took their lamps and went forth to meet the bridegroom but alas all fell asleep while waiting (Matt 25:5). As the world sleeps in the dark (having carefree attitude towards God), so the church sleeps in the light (displaying careless manners toward the kingdom of heaven). Hmmmmm! Very scary!
How prepared are you for the soon-coming King - our Lord Jesus Christ? Read Acts 1:11; 2 Peter 3:10-12. Suppose there are no 'Midnight Criers' (the true Gospel preachers) today, what would have been the state of the Christian community worldwide? Be awake; join the heralds of Christ's good news to save your soul from complacency. The Scripture warns, So then, dear friends, since you are looking forward to this, make every effort to be found spotless, blameless and at peace with him (2 Peter 3:14).

PRAYER POINTS:
1. O Lord, keep us so awake in the duties of our callings that we may sleep in Your peace and wake in Your glory. Amen
2. Lord, make me sensitive to the pranks of the devil and his agents to snatch me away from You, and strengthened by Your Spirit to wade off his advances.
3. Lord, make Your Church wiser than the devil in all ramifications, in Jesus' name.

BEFORE YOU SLEEP:

WEEKLY MOTIVATION.

1. As we start off a new working week,
What deposit of GOD are you giving your world today? What act of Love do you intend to share? Inspire someone.

2. This Week, make a deliberate Choice to only listen to words that encourage you, see things that inspire you & think thoughts that empower you.

3. Things are never how they seem, ask questions. Seek for clarity. Assumptions will definitely hurt you.

4. Honor is about perception - how we see others. But it's also about how we see ourselves. HONORABLE PEOPLE HONOR OTHERS!

5. Beware of FAVOR KILLERS this week : Never allow yourself to become:
a) Comfortable
b) Entitled
c) Apathetic
d) Ungrateful
e) Critical
f) Familiar
g) Deceived about Your Own Importance.

6. No matter what happens, always ensure that your actions are consistent with your Identity.

7. This Week,
a) Guard Your Mind
b) Guard Your Love
c) Guard Your Decency
d) Guard Your Ability to be bigger than those who hate you.

8. Here’s how business works: even if you know theirs, mind yours.

9. Don’t just do it , do it PASSIONATELY this week, the difference is always outstanding.

10. This Week learn from this Proverb : GOOD arrogantly told BEST, “the difference between you and I is just your attention To negligible details”.

I have been meaning to tell you this : PEOPLE LIKE YOU EXCEED EXPECTATIONS. This is that week God will remember you.

Goodnight.
