Events And History

TOPIC: EVENTS AND HISTORY

READ ESTHER 6:1-3

MEMORISE: It was found recorded there that Mordecai had exposed Bigthana and Teresh, two of the king's officers who guarded the doorway, who had conspired to assassinate King Xerxe. (Esther 6:2)

Message
You are making history with your living, whether positive or negative. Your relationship with God, yourself and others is writing in history that people will be reading long after you are gone. Remember that things happened to some people in the past as examples and were written down as warning for us today (1 Cor 10:11) Yours will also be written at the appointed time for others to read. What have you been writing?
Whether written or not, every individual has what can be titled THE STORY OF MY LIFE. The book of Chronicles is the book or records of events in the individual and corporate lives of God's people in relation to the world around them. It's common in Jewish custom to have one for each generation; records of the events and history of clans and lineages for future reference purposes.
In Mordecai's case, he wrote a positive
history; he cooperated with the good LORD to foil the plot to extirpate the king. It was recorded to his credit. The good deed was initially drawn under carpet for some time,
but history was unearthed and Mordecai was accordingly rewarded.
What you do today will become history
tomorrow. Your attitudes, actions and
inactions should be moderated with the mind of Christ, lest you be writing a bad history for yourself. God forbid! Check all you do today that they conform to God's standard so that you can laugh when your deeds are reviewed.

PRAYER POINTS:
1. Holy Spirit, moderate my attitudes, actions and inactions, so that I don't write bad records I'll live to regret.
2. Father, deliver me from every accusation and false allegations the devil and his cohorts are employing to tackle my life, in Jesus' name.
3. Lord, let Your gospel perpetually prosper in the hands of Your people in this nation.
