Curses... Cross... Crown...

TOPIC: CURSES... CROSS... CROWN...

READ NUMBERS 22:1-6

MEMORIZE: there is no sorcery against Jacob, no divination against Israel. It will be said of Jacob and of Israel, 'See what God has done!' (Numbers 23:23)

Message
The opposite of hot is cold; both are real. The opposite of good is evil; both are real. In just the same way, blessings are real and so are curses. Both blessings and curses belong to the invisible, spiritual realm. They are vehicles of the supernatural, spiritual power. Blessings produce good and beneficial results; curses produce bad and harmful results. The main medium of both blessings and curses is words. Such words may be spoken or written or merely uttered inwardly, yet the effects are real. The curse Balak wanted to pronounce was intercepted by God and turned into blessings (Num 23:8).
Many Christians who should be enjoying blessings are actually enduring curses. Why? It could be due to ignorance, negligence, or wilful disobedience. As long as God's perspective is concerned, No misfortune is seen in Jacob, no misery observed in Israel (Num 23:21), surely there is no enchantment or any divination that would work against him. Put your name in place of Jacob's in those verses, and it is so for you. Only that you let God be able to witness that there is found in you no iniquity. What curses could not achieve in the lives of God's people, sin came in and did exactly (Rev 2:14).
Beloved, let the God of Jacob through the finished work of Christ on the Cross of Calvary be the intermediate against all curses meted against your life (Gal 3:13). You will wear blessings (spiritual, material and eternal) as crown only if you will walk circumspectly by the Word of God (Psalms 119:2; Jn. 15:7).

PRAYER POINTS:
1. O Lord, let Your Cross cancel all curses against me.
2. Lord, turn my misery to miracles, turn my sorrow to singing, turn my troubles to testimonies.
3. Pray for the bereaved around you, that God should give them the fortitude to bear the losses and not misbehave in reactions to the losses.
