Whose child are you?

Bearing the surname of your father or physical resemblance of your parents does not make you their child, but your attitude and the way you live are major things that can show if you are their child or not. Because the child of who you are, is easily reflected in your attitudes to things in life. It is what you do that can really show you as an ambassador of your people. According to Ferguision "As basically you are to a degree what your parent want you to be". It is very important for your parent want you to be." It is very important for you to know the son of who you are, in other to know what is expected of you and know your parent's power and limitation and also know you can take or reject from their ways of life. Do you really know the child of whom you are? Do you know the standard that the people expect from you? Who are your parents, are they rich, or poor, good or bad people? Your answers to these questions will lead you to what you can do on the expectations of people from you. If you are a child of the poor parents, people expect you to work hard to uplift the name of you family from poverty to prosperity. It is important for you to know that coming from poor and humble background does not confine you to poverty, but an advantage to be utilized to grow higher and raised the standard of the family in life, but they may be failing as a result of the way they lived their life when they were growing up or as a result of the environment where they grew up. Also coming from a wealthy family does not make you an automatic wealthy person, but something that can confine you to mediocre life. Infact, your place of birth is not determinant of what you can become in life, but it is the yard stick that the people can use to gauge your movement in life and what you can also use as a standard to wok for successful living. Many people are in problem of abject poverty today because they are ignorant of the child of whom they are, they choose to play when they are expected to work hard and unnecessary comparing themselves with others from different backgrounds. Although, you have nothing to do with your coming to the world, you have many things to do with your life, when you posses it. It is only when you discover the child of whom you are and know the purpose of God for your life, that you can live successfully. King Saul asked Abner his general three questions. When David, a young man decided to kill Goliath, a giant that Saul the king of Israel could not fight. Saul asked Abner his general "Whose son is that young man" to know if David was from the great family in Israel. King Saul again when he saw the determination of the boy, David, to fight Goliath asked "Find out whose son is this young man" David answered confidently "I am the son of son Jese of Bethlehem". Although David was from humble background but earlier antecedent of his exploit with the assistance of God, before he fought Goliath, showed that he knew the son of whom he was, that he must go beyond the humble background of his parent. People are watching you, in fact they are using the achievements of your parent as standard of their expectations from you. Negatively, they don't want you to go beyond the position of your parents and positively, they want you to be greater than your parents. So it is over to you to work towards prosperity and good life. Jeroboham the son of King Solomon, the great king, that ruled Israel with wisdom and became the most renowned king of his time, did not know the son of whom he was, instead of ruling the people with wisdom, he took counsel from his young peers, and refused to take the counsel of old people who were encyclopedia of wisdom. Instead of becoming a successful king, the kingdom fell apart during his time. The few people who knew the child of whom they were knew their environment, knew the abilities of their parents, discovered problems around them and worked hard to find solution to the problems, are the leaders today. In fact most of the renowned people in the world are from a very humble background, people like, Late Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Nelson Mandele, Late Kwame Nkruma, Nnamidi Azikwe, Abraham Lincoln, etc. Even great Bible characters were also from humble background. Even if you are an orphan, people are expecting good things from you and God is ready to surprise the world through you, but you must know yourself to be an orphan with nobody and prepare to run two yards where others take one yard. If you know the child of whom you are, you will know what you can do, you will know people you can befriend, you will know the type of family you can marry and the type of family you can't marry from, you will know what your parents can afford and what they can not afford; you will know how to help yourself; you will know how to protect the good name of your family and you will know that God is your strength. Don't look down on people because you are from wealthy family and don't let people look down on you, because you are from a humble background, just respect people for what they are. Stop complaining about your place of birth, but think of what you can do to bring the place to lime-light and pray to God to reveal the purpose of your being in that place to you.
